Paddy Heaney used to live the dream. As a full-time sports journalist with the Irish News, he reported on games from Maghera to Melbourne. His weekly column, Against the Breeze was a Tuesday staple for many of the paper’s readers. Then Paddy started cycling and things very quickly got out of hand. He quit the day job, opened a gym, and started The Shred, an online health and fitness programme. While Paddy’s sports writing went into hibernation, his opinions never died. Now the Breeze is back. Heaney has come out of his cave.
